What is the Canadian Experience Class?
The Canadian Experience Class (CEC) is a program for individuals with skilled work experience in Canada who want to become permanent residents. Managed through the Express Entry system, it offers a straightforward path to residency for those already integrated into Canadian society.
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the CEC, you must meet the following criteria:
Work Experience
At least one year of skilled work experience in Canada, within the last three years, in a full-time or equivalent part-time position.
Language Proficiency
Achieve a minimum Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) score of 7 for NOC 0 or A jobs, or CLB 5 for NOC B jobs in either English or French.
Education
Formal education is not required, but having an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) can improve your Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score.
How to Apply
Create an Express Entry Profile: Provide information about your skills, work experience, education, and language abilities.
Receive CRS Score: Your profile is ranked based on your CRS score.
Get an ITA: If you score highly, you’ll receive an Invitation to Apply for permanent residency.
Submit Application: Complete and submit your application within 60 days, including all required documents.
